Cryopreservation of embryos and/or sperm enables to protect your valuable mouse strains from unexpected events. This solution is also perfect to reduce the cost of maintaining live mice colonies for strains that are rarely used.

Embryo cryopreservation – embryo cryopreservation allows for the backup of embryos from your valuable mouse strains and lines. This option is the best for mice maintained at the homozygous state, carrying multiple mutations or unique mouse strains. The procedure of embryo cryopreservation includes female donor hormonal stimulation and mating with males, isolation of preimplantation embryos, and cryopreservation of collected embryos in liquid nitrogen.

Sperm Cryopreservation – sperm cryopreservation allows for long-term storage of sperm from your mouse lines. This option is preferable when mice are carrying only a single mutation; in inbred strains or when the homozygous mutation is lethal or causes infertility.
